Sadly this isnt a post saying im coming back or anything :( just felt like letting old FFXI friends know that im alive and well.

Been working for 6 months now at the Marriott Hotel, it is a great laugh and a load of fun.

Other things ive been upto as late, going into London to mess about with friends and going to local gigs.

Its weird being free from FFXI, all the time I wish I could come back, but then I like how much freedom I have right now and I enjoy it.

Got a Bass Guitar :s self teaching myself that.

Other then that, I just hope everyone else is good and well, drop me a comment, really want to talk to you guys :)

An LJ entry which is a month over due.

Im indeed well. I got a job! I work as a House Porter at the Marriott Hotel near me. Its only a 10 min walk away so its pretty cool, also my best friend works there so it is fun to hang about with him at work too.

Life is pretty good FFXI-less. Sure I miss all my friends, but not having to worry that im missing LS events, and getting stressed seeking for hours, hunting NM's .ect, is great. Also means if my friends invite me out with short notice (which they always love to do) I can 9 times out of 10 go out with them, compared to my maybe 3/10 when I had FFXI going.

I still dont know what to do with this Journal, since I dont really want to turn it into a RL journal, but I still wish for my FFXI friends to know how im doing.

Back to about work, I have to get up pretty early, I start at 7:30am, and normally get up around 6:30ish (Yeah i know its only a 10 min walk like i said, but im not a morning person, need to crawl around just to get ready) and most of the time im in bed around 11pmish at night. So really this would mean there is not much point in FFXI for me, since like a said before, hard for EU's which are not in school or college.

Hope you all are well, any funny storys that have happened to you guys in game or real life?

Cant belive this is actually happening, and I know its lame because so many people have done it lately but.....

Think im going to suspend my account starting next month :(

Yes it sucks alot, but please keep it that im NOT deleting / selling my account, just suspending it for a few months.

Here are the reasons why im doing this :(

1. In the last month, the only time ive ever logged into game is to check on my Chocobo for 5 mins, then log off. The monthly fee isnt worth just doing that.

2. I've finished college now, and am currently seeking for a full time job, and this means I cant stay up to 5-6am playing when I have to go job seeking / look good for interviews the next day.

3. Sort of on lines of 2, Im really sick of staying upto them hours to do events and stuff, and I couldnt find an EU active LS to do end game stuff with. But even simple things like seeking part, can take an EU soo much longer / mean I have to stay wake longer, since 8pm my time seeking, the JPs wont invite me, and its too early for NAs to be online.

4. On with timming theme. When I do get a full time job, I 100% wont be able to stay up that late any more, so until I get one, and know what hours I work and what I dont work, I wont know when I can play or not.

5. My Social life is starting to pick up! I know, shock horror. My friends want me to go out more and more, and get more pissed off when I say to them I cant because im seeking for a party.

6. Looking for a Girl Friend, very hard to do when you spend all your time in on a game.

7. Between now and X-mas tons of other, Non fee games I want come out, and I wont have time to play them all, and FFXI. Kingdom Hearts 2 (Yes I know you guys have had to for months!!!!!!!!) comes out over here end of this month. Damn living in PAL sucks. and I really want to play that, amoung over games.

Im sorry :( My plans, is to see after the new year, by then i'll know how much time I have to play and would be done with most of the x-mas rush of new games. Maybe then i'll back.

I will always keep checking my LJ, to read about you guys, and how the game is. If anyone would like my e-mail (MSN) or Myspace address, you only have to ask. and I hope to see all of you soon :)

Mine hatched, Male. Needed to name that sucka.

After countless minutes of looking (about 10-15) i settled on...

I think its a pretty good male chocobo name! since Jet on its own rocks.

But man oh man was i tempted to put this as first or last name.....

Yes im still a kid! I can laugh at the fact a planet has "-anus" in it!

Lastly, im growing some Chocobo Feed on one of my mules. I use to garden alot before the ore market fell out. So just needed to plant up. Not fully grown yet, but some are flowering.

No clue what ill get from them, bit of trail and error. Ill keep you posted for what I get!

Two picture posts in a few days! Could be the sign of the end of the world? This time ill LJ cut them for...

First on a quick note. My investment of having my sister playing, and me giving her gil finally paid off for me. Last 2 days she has been out, and I have been on both PC and Laptop PLing myself. I need to get RNG to 37 for sub, but couldnt be bothered with the dunes. I managed to get from 11-20 in 2 days! quite proud of myself. Did get like a SS of each level, but thats quite boring to post all of them, so instead a picture of Daggoth payed me a visit when I was level 19.

Now, DF had planned a Kirin run Monday night, and me having never done one, I jumped at the chance to sign up. We didnt have alot of people there, like 20ish (not sure on numbers) but we managed to Congo before we poped.

Also got a sort of coolish (Well I think it) shot of Eticket.

Well I will now go about explaining our Kirin run, if you get bored of big blocks of text, this is the part to skip.

Like I said, only about 20ish members and only 3 were tanks (inc me) all PLD's, and mine being my first time so didnt 100% know what was going on. We had 1 main PLD kiting, I was back up kiter, and the 3rd PLD was for God pops. Well here is where we went wrong. main PLD died 10 seconds after poping Kirin, I cant even remeber how, it happened soo fast, but all I remeber doing was thinking "Shit! ........I need to voke!". So started my Kirin kiting battle!

(Yes i do look camp in that SS)

Well here is where the 2nd problem of the night happened. He poped Suzaku first, and the other PLD died getting the him to the tunnel (not sure who tanked after that, but they managed to take him down slowly with more deaths) but this means not even a min is past, and im the only tank left. I couldnt worry about pops, I just focused on kiting and hope people would get up in time.

Took a nice Deadly Hold.

Well once Suzaku was down he poped Genbu, with both the other 2 PLD's weak I still dont know who tanked him over to melee party, but anyway, Kiting was fun, I got the hang of it but now, must of be going at it for a good 10-15 mins, then we got fucked over. Genbu still up, and he pops Seiryu, no one to get Seiryu off me, so I die a few seconds later, which in turn means no tanks are up/full, which means whm and my party die, and then everything aggros the melee party and we wipe.

We didnt bother with anymore (LS Drama, not getting into) but personally I had great fun. Well worth the -300 exp to get a feeling of how to kite Kirin. No idea when we are doing it again but hopfully soonish.

RAWR!!!!!!!! ISLEY UPDATE!

Not been up to much, but I do come bareing a few SS's of my current going on's, plus words to go with and for times when the tard forgot to put fraps on.

Me and Dolo tried to do a Onzozo NM day and tried for the Gob that drops Magic attack earring (For him) and Ose for me. Well got a few claims of the Goblin, no drop, and Ose poped right as we came to camp and another person got it ; ; but we stayed up there killing mobs to see if we could gbet Ose to pop again. Well he didnt pop, but what did was....

As far as a Duo PLD/WHM and WAR/NIN goes we did pretty good. Got it down to like 10-15% before he did some massive TP move when Dolo's Shadows were down and killed him in one hit, resulting in me invicabling and tele-mea'ing. When we camp back and were at full a random 75 bst got it and was trying to kill, but had great trouble, so we invited him and the 3 of us killed it. I got a hide, which im still trying to sell like 3 weeks later! keeps coming back to me off the AH -.-

2nd screen is just something funny a Japanese person said to me while looking for members in jeuno as COR.

Gosh they do make me laugh :) we need more Japanese people speaking english!

Since DF sort of broke up on the Dynamis front (I would have has to give it up anyway soonish, cant stay up to 5am on weeknights as soon as i get a full time job) i joined a EU LS who were new looking for memebers. Well we did a bastok run the other week, there first ever. We only had 23 members show up, but since I still need AF, and have clear i didnt mind the farming run.

But one thing I did find out was! my AF curse doesnt just work with DF, its just Dynamis as a whole. Only me and another PLD lotting on PLD, so 50/50 im going to get it, well it manages to drop (Other drops were SMNx2) and we lot. Take a look at the lots, and laugh.

Well we was going to try a run on tuesday but due to not enough members / Leader going afk and not coming back, we had to cancel. Daggoth was there at the Gather together of the Dynamis, and I asked him what he was going to do next, and he said he was going to go get Uleguerand Range map, so I asked if I could tag along. We spend about 2 hours or so farming my Hobgoblin Hotrok (Daggoth had one of his own) then we headed up for the climb. Again PLD/WHM ftw :p and managed to sneak and invis ourselfs though. Only one spot of aggro right at the end of the true sight mobs by me, which I started to panic about, ready to die in a safe spot and have Dag raise me, but he Slept the mob, and we both logged out! First time ive ever done that with aggro, and felt like cheating! but hey, im not complaining.

Wanted to get closer, but thought that was enough. Now ive seen Tiamt and Jormungand in person :p

Slide down the mountain was fun, all in all was good, felt sorry for Daggoth because we got to the ??? you trade to, and it turns out he left his Hotrok in his mog house :X so i got map and he didnt :( i felt really bad for him after that, since it was his idea to do the quest and all. but since then he has got the map, so all good I surpose. Only a waste of time not exp :)

Now onto COR.

Got 55 yesterday so now I look pimp :) well pimp until 58 and AF body :p

Gallent Roll was a big let down. Thing says Damage Reflection. which I thought to belive would be every so offten, a counter, type move, were damage the mob was surpose to do goes back to mob. Well no, all Gallent Roll is is a AOE Blazing Spikes -.- which dont even do that much, and the mobs normal attack still gets though. In a quick test of it, I rolled lucky number (3 for those keeping score at home) and the spikes only took effect every 3 hits or so, and only for 1-2 HP damage. Big waste of time, SE needs to change to discripsion to AOE Blazing Spikes, and no Damage Relfection. Fingers crossed BLM Roll at 58 is better.

Lastly, Earlier on today I did Besiged with Daggoth and Felidae on COR. All went smoothly, but I did manage to set a new record for the amount of damage ive tooken from a single move.

No idea what the move was either, just felt it.

Well know it was crappy but meh, maybe more intresting post next time?

Havnt been upto much since Update. But here are some random screens which I thought would be cool.

Spent some time with Elko Kitty and Wupeh messing about in Summerfest. Its fun doing all high level stuff, but still always fun to hang out with low level friends.

Some nice stuff. I think for me, im gonna get Chivalry first. followed by Guardian, then Fealty and Iron Will as and when. Thats how I see them in order of importance. Sure other PLD's may think diffrent, Discuss if you will.

onorok's LJ entry has motovated me to get off my Arse and finally sort out some of the pictures I had took for entrys which never got made.

Trying to go mostly in time order here, bare with me.

First off.

Became Pearl in my Dynamis LS. I was tooken by surprise with this. Half way though Dynamis Bastok the other month Clintoc just sends me a tell saying "Oh i've made you Sack". I do feel quite honored to be a sack on this LS. Mainly its just felt the same, but now when I give orders during Dynamis (Not being bossy! im always main tank, and sometimes ill tell people to get off a NIN which no tank is on, or move back behind me because they are too far forward) I feel less guilty about bossing them out. Guess in realtiy I just took Ono's job in Dynamis all around :S Main tank and pearl. Sorry :x

Merit:

Well since getting PLD to 75 back in Jan, I hadnt really done much partieing on it. Odd few exp partys to keep me from deleveling but that was all. Well have about a 16k buff (Yes I know it wasnt capped, but I dont always do alot in game now, so most of my deaths are in Dynamis) and was bored, desided to switch to Merit and hit up an exp party with members of DF.

Well in one night, I not only got my first Merit :D but got my 2nd merit too! I was really pleased with myself after and it came the deside time for where they went.

Yeah I know they arnt the best for PLD. But I look at it this way: "PLD uses both of them, COR uses both of them (Yes we can / I do sometimes /WHM in exp, plus will during Dynamis with COR) in fact all jobs can use either HP and/or MP. So really, I would rather merit that, then something which will just be good for PLD i.e capping Sword / Abilty timmers"

Social Stuff:

Just a funny flattering comment one of my friends said to me :) just to prove I am an Agory Aunt of FFXI sometimes.

Sadder note. A dear friend of mine is leaving the game :( Not many people will know him, since we meet back in my really old LS, and he never really leveled high in his time in FFXI. Also he comes from UAE, so played in diffrent time zone then most people. Name was Lannarth. He was a great person and i'll always remeber him in FFXI. Someone always nice to talk to, and go on adventures.

It took him awhile to get TOAU and he saw it as a thing to get him back into the game, but upon finding out that most stuff was designed for level 75's he got pissed and thus why wanted to leave. As a treat on his last day, I took him to Aydeewa Subterrane (PLD/WHM ftw!) since I think the music in that zone is one of the best in the game, and didnt want him quitting without hearing / exploring that zone.

Leveled COR maddy for a while. Just to show some of the ones I remebered to SS.

Yep :) 50 COR! feels great. The party which got me 50 was really giving me a headache (Such a bad camp spot, and no one stood where I told them. also BLM was casting Freeze mid fights even though we told her like 10 times not to) so when I dinged 50, I found a replacement and warped out once he got there. So havnt had chance to play about with "Random Deal" but I will soon.

Went to movies yesterday to watch Pirates (Havnt seen the first one :x but still enjoyed it loads and friends filled me in with the few things I didnt unstand) but it was a great film, but all I kept thinking during it was "COR AF! I hope I will look as good as Jack!" yeah see FFXI owns all our lives in a way. Speaking of which, AF comes out in one week, thus why I semi- leveled fastly. I would LOVE to be 55 by then, since then I can equip 2 peices straight away, and also be looking foward for more.

Well. 1:38pm (gmt) now. and i've spent from 9am in A&E (Accident & Emergency ward. like americans ER i guess).

Last night I was at a park with friends. Just messing about on the childrens play equipment. As you do!. Well at one point I was on this sea-saw swingy thing (hard to explain :S had to explain it to the doctors) one friend pushing it really fast. I tell him to stop as im going to fall off. Next thing I know im on the floor, Friends all laughing around me. I get up. Rest for like 20 mins, then walk home. Even though my friends wanted me to stay out.

I waited awhile before going to bed about 2am-ish. (Yes I am a good boy. Told my mum soon as I got in :P) but I woke up around 6:30am all dizzy then ran to the bathroom to throw up. I was soo dizzy i kept throwing up. No food in my stomach becuase of the sleeping, so bile went first -.- then once that was gone all this mucasy stuff, which really hurt :(.

Mum phoned the NHS helpline (Health service helpline) which told us to go to the A&E.

Well after some waiting I had to have a CT Scan on my head. (No clue if you call them that :S scans which can slice apart the brain into tons of pictures) I wanted to see them, but they didnt show me -.-

After more waiting got the results saying that I had no interinal bleeding or damage to the brain. Just a concussion. :(

Says I need to rest for the next week : )

Bad news:

Gonna feel shitty until at least monday.
Was meant to do more BCNM40's tonight with Dolo and Moz. Not sure if ill be upto it now.
Dynamis Windy on sunday. Should be ok to go it. But I guess it depends on how im feeling sunday.

Know I dont normally post on here much about real life, and I dont really want to, but the girl i've liked for close to 2 months has for a BF, which isnt me -.-

I feel really sad, i've spent ages trying to empress her, and the killer thing is, She came to me a while back looking for advice wither or not she should go out with this guy or not, but at that stage she didnt know I liked her, and of couse, being the gnetleman I am, I gave her honset advice to get with this guy.

Real Life!

On my last week of college then im free (enless work isnt done then still have to go in week after). Not going to Uni now. Too many other things going on which I need to take care of first. Mainly: Money, Want to learn to drive and the fact not sure if I can be arsed with 3 more years of schooling, already done 3 extra then all of my close friends. So plan is to pick up more hours where I work now come Augest time. And look for a new full time job, all the while learning to drive.

Other news, one of my friends I have known close to 7-8 years now, mother past away on wednesday. It really got to me as the guy is my age :( although I didnt really speak to his mum much it gave me a lump in my throat when I found out.

Final Fantasy Life!

Still havnt had time to log on to do very productive things. Dynamis Windy was meant to be last night. But DF had to cancel since only 27 people showed up and (dont quote me on numbers) think it was only 4 BLM's and 1 RDM, so to save exp lose we just pulled plug on it. This left me in a predicament. It was 1am (normal dynamis time for me) I had already tooken a 4 hour nap to get me though Dynamis and now nothing. First of all I was just going to log and try to sleep. But saw one of the people in DF were making a party, and Since i was only 5k over 75, and never really time to seek figured I would use the time i set aside for Dynamis wisely and exp.

We went to new area to fight trolls. It was my first time exping in a new area and was fun. Now im 13k over 75, got tired it became 5am and went to bed. going to lose most of that in dynamis.

Ooo also I was very flatter by Clint, he sent me a few tells yesterday beucase I have appiled to join DF, asked me my times i can normally log on and such, and then he told me that he likes me style :D Know nothing big in that but still, tanking is an art, every tank has there own style i would say (yes each PLD NIN and WAR are diffrent) glad someone likes the way I tank do it.

Thursday night I had some spare time on my hand. So for the first time which seems like 3 weeks+ I desided to level COR, which had been stuck on 40. This had been the first party I had had with Evokers Roll and new Quick Draw. Setup was kind of weird, COR, NIN, RNG, BRD, BLU yep only 5 of us for like 4 hours. The bard was pl'ing us himself with a level 75 rdm, so even though they wanted me to sub /WHM, i didnt have to do much curing, mainly did Barfira and the odd Cureaga if a bomb went off and goblin was nearly dead.

Quick Draw rant

I only brought the Fire Cards for a first time use, didnt want to fill my pack with every type of card. I had done it on some too weaks outside town to try it out, and every shot had done 120 damage. So I figured that agaist IT's it would do alot less. Well damage was really random, as you can see O_o

Yeah you get the idea. Never went over the 120, but I was amazed it could do that much damage to an IT. First I was thinking, maybe the mobs had Shell on or something, but then a few times we pulled gobs which had no other gobs around to cast on it. Rather random, maybe its all luck based more then I thought? if so I bet a stat on some AF would be to do with quick draw. If anyone else has any info on that im all ears.

End of the night I ended up...

plus 1k buff. So puts me at 6k to 43. I really want to get 50 by the time the AF in into the game, but 60 is max ill take it if AF still not in, since I dont want to have to back track to get AF which might be crapper then the 60+ gear I could buy.

p.s. Took a sicky from work today since I went out last night and didnt feel well when i woke up. Since its JP time now, no chance in party, but might finally get then point thingys in near areas so i can quick warp to them. I still havnt spent much time in new areas O_o
